E-FAST (Emergency First Aid and Safety Training) was founded on November 9, 2015, by Selbourne Webb and Delroy Richards after they recognised that the average Jamaican citizen lacked access to a proper emergency medical system (EMS). Therefore, E-FAST’s mandate is to provide first aid, CPR, and other pre-hospital training in keeping with our motto of ‘PRESERVING LIVES, EMPOWERING PEOPLE’. Webb and Richards, as co-directors, have brought to the company over 40 years of experience and expertise in pre-hospital training.
E-FAST offers training to the general public, non-governmental organisations, and government entities. Some of our recent clients include the Jamaica Cricket Association, the United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS), A Gentle Touch of Care Training Institute (Falmouth), the Banana Board, the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation, the Portmore Municipal Council, the Early Childhood Commission, King Alarm, SOS Guardsman, the Multi Care Youth Foundation, Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA), Coral Springs Hotel, UTECH, UCC, UWI, Dental Auxillary School, Knox College, St. Thomas Technical High, Mt.Pleasant Football Academy and Canadian High Commission.
Both directors are retired warrant officers Class Two of the Jamaica Defence Force and at some point were in charge of training at the Medical Company. E-FAST is registered with Companies Office of Jamaica (7627/2015) and is also a training centre for Emergency Care & Safety Institute of the USA. The company is registered with the National Resuscitation Council of Jamaica (reg #201601). The company is monitored by Dr. Mohammed Basir, who acts in the capacity of medical director.
